✨ HighlightFirst time here and I loved the service. Their food is bursting with good flavor. You could savor the blend of Mediterranean spices in your food which was so good. Also, the idea of having different rooms is cool to me. I loved the food too and as an African, I was happy they understood the assignment when it came to spicy 🌶️. Their pepper sauce is not for the faint hearted but I loved it. The honey glazed carrots were so so good as well→

The tasting menu, an expertly crafted journey through a series of six impeccably designed courses, showcases the chef’s innovative flair and meticulous attention to detail. Each dish, from the delicate amuse-bouche to the indulgent dessert, is a testament to culinary artistry. We indulged in the additional courses, which seamlessly complemented the exquisite six-course lineup, enhancing the overall experience. We were utterly stuffed by the end! While we declined the wine pairing, we opted for specialty cocktails, wine, and champagne. Each drink was thoughtfully crafted, bursting with flavor, and perfectly matched the sophistication of the meal. The service was exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. ✨ HighlightOur server was great, and the drinks were a highlight. Our group really enjoyed the Espresso Martinis and French 75s. We were excited for brunch after hearing great things about dinner the night before, but the food fell short. “The sandwich” came on a Vietnamese-style bun instead of a baguette and was overall dry. The deviled eggs were tasty but had too much mustard, and the quiche was rubbery and tasted reheated, with a small portion for a lunch plate. The QR code payment system felt a bit distracting, encouraging phone use at the table. It’s a charming spot, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return. Definitely give it a shot it may have been an off day for our group :)→

✨ HighlightGreat service, has a fire dancer that comes by every half an hour or so, nice ambiance and artwork. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre. Only three scallops for $19, paella was too oily and salty to my liking, and the steak is just fine, not special. Dessert was nice. I got a guava cheesecake, but we couldn't taste the guava at all since the strawberry compote was very strong.→

✨ HighlightService exceptional. Super nice and chill vibe. Music good too. Park on the street. Good location. Great use of curtain to split small space. Great tasting vegan options. They can sub dairy in other dishes. Cabbage salad was my favorite. So flavorful. I wanted more. Tempura okra was a great twist, could’ve had a little more seasoning, but it was great and light. The bread and butter was perfect really tasty, don’t change a thing. Mushroom on Foccacia bread was delicious. Trout was so fresh but it had no seasoning. Great quality taste- not basic by any means. I’d order everything again and try something different. I like this place and would recommend. Small menu, wanted a different dessert than they had but all good. I’ll come back for sure-5-Star→

✨ HighlightStaplehouse is about to become a new staple restaurant in my eating out rotation! The Grinder sandwich literally blew my freaking mind. 10/10. High quality ingredients all perfectly balanced on the most DELICIOUS bread. Well worth $23 - such care and craftsmanship. Whoever made the recipe deserves an Oscar - or whatever the sandwich making equivalent is. Kale Caesar Salad was also a banger - I normally avoid Cesar salads like the plague at restaurants because they’re so limp and lifeless. This one had much gusto and flare, a very unique take with smooth, tangy dressing. Also you feel so dang healthy after eating it. Another 10. Only thing that didn’t blow my mind was the Alkaline Noodles - I wanted to like them so much but they’re a little lacking in taste - salty and spicy but weirdly flavorless. Noodle texture was great though and I think this could be another perfect dish if they made them a little more fragrant and saucy. But that’s just one little lady’s thoughts. Overall, marvelous. I will be a patron for as long as I live!→

Dimly lit, almost speakeasy-vibes because it’s off the beaten path, downstairs of an apartment building. I split a salad with one other person, we all shared 2 sides, and we each got an entree. Here’s what I had: - Insalata Giulio Cesare ($13.95): Good!! - Brussels Sprouts: We were actually all disappointed in these. They were soft, when we wanted them to be crispy. - Burrata with Peaches: Very tasty! - Sacchetti di Formaggio e Tartufi Neri ($27.95): Amaaaaazing, just how I remembered it. So rich and creamy and delectable. Such a great restaurant for a special occasion!→

✨ HighlightThe food was amazing!! The attention to detail here by the staff is unmatched. I’ve been to many fine dining establishments and been disappointed with the service and the food, but literally no notes here. We ordered a large steak and salad to split, and they split it for us on separate plates! I’ve never had that happen before. Usually they just slice the steak and put it on one platter and give us individual, empty plates. The drinks were also good but sooo strong. I think just one drink was enough for me lol. This restaurant definitely fulfilled my 80’s business dinner fantasies. Only downside is, when it’s busy, it is really loud and hard to have a conversation, especially if you’re sitting next to a rowdy table. As the night went on though, the noise level improved.→

✨ HighlightVery nice steakhouse. Expensive but good food. It was our anniversary and they comped our dessert which I appreciate. We had half salads, the 12 oz filets, brussle sprouts, and broccoli. The salads were more than enough. The filets were cooked exactly as we ordered(med-rare). The sides were good. Not exceptional. I had the brownie layer cake and my wife had the peanut butter cream pie. The layer cake was too rich for me. My wife loved the pie. It was a nice atmosphere. Dark and quiet. We arrived when the opened at 5. It was a little louder by the time we were leaving but it was still quiet enough to have a normal conversation.→

✨ HighlightTLDR: pricy but better than any lounge food or restaurant around. I got seated at a relatively quiet hour, too early for lunch. Music is calming, the few dishes already out had amazing scents, and the aesthetic is smart and immediately takes you outta the airport and into downtown. Kenneth had an opinion and a personality and I love it. The staff know the menu, know what they like, and are attentive to you. The hamachi tiradito is so good. Far better than an appetizer should be. I went with a dragon roll and the amount of eel is discreet but the flavor is there. Went with the pork belly next. And boy, the wantons were packed with meat. Unexpected. Then the pork itself was strongly braised but that chili on top made it perfect. Most redeeming was the Brussels. We need more and better Brussels. Closed with the bread pudding. The steaks were cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, and the sides were delicious and perfect for sharing, adding to the overall dining experience. The wine list is impressive, with plenty of options to complement your meal. However, the service left something to be desired—it was a bit on the slow side, which dampened the experience slightly. Unfortunately, we also found a piece of plastic in our shrimp appetizers, which is definitely not what you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. ✨ HighlightI want to start with recognizing the attentive staff! We ordered the tasting menu. I love ordering a tasting menu because I feel it’s where a patron can understand the intention behind the food. It allows us to get to “know” the message of the restaurant. We didn’t feel like we understood much after we finished. It was 8 dishes that tasted good, but nothing truly blew us away. There was no adventure, risk, or creativity in the dishes. Everything tasted very safe. We were really hoping for some bolder moments as the meal progressed, but didn’t get any. Overall, I’d try it again one day, but probably would not order the tasting menu again as it didn’t provide an interesting dining experience.→

A Perfect Send-Off at The Deer and The Dove For our final ATL Foodies gathering of the year, we picked The Deer and The Dove, and what a beautiful choice it was to close out 2024 and welcome new culinary adventures in 2025! First impressions matter, and this place nailed it. A warm welcome, a big smile, and we were escorted to our table. Arriving before everyone else, I had time to soak in the atmosphere. The decor is stunning, the ambiance smooth and inviting, and the staff interactions were flawless—a well-oiled machine of hospitality. Once seated, the evening began with deep conversations. From summing up 2024 in one word to reflecting on life’s purpose and future goals, our group didn’t shy away from introspection, all while enjoying hearty laughs and delicious food. Now, about the food: I cannot recommend the Duck Fat Potatoes enough—they melted in our mouths. For my main course, I had the Bramlett Farms Whole Trout, cooked to perfection. Around the table, other highlights included the Fossil Farms Pheasant—which I tried, and yes, it was incredible—and a burger that immediately went on my “must-try” list for next time. Special shoutout to our server, Julia, who was the definition of on point. Her timing was impeccable—always there when we needed her but never intrusive. Her warm demeanor added an extra layer of charm to an already delightful experience. In the end, The Deer and The Dove earned the title of a hidden gem of Atlanta. ✨ HighlightWe tried this restaurant because it was in walking distance of our hotel and I noticed a lot of people picking up to go orders. The place was very nicely decorated for Christmas and the friendly hostess sat us right away. Pria was our lovely server. She was super friendly, attentive, and recommended some of the popular dishes. We ordered the catfish, and the fried chicken entrees with mac and cheese, collard green, and rice and gravy. Everything thing came out hot, fresh, and delicious! Even the cornbread was sweet and moist. Their homemade lemonade and sweet tea were satisfying. When you're in the peach state, you have to try the peach cobbler. It was warm with spices and a delicious crust. We enjoyed every bite and highly recommend this place if you love southern food. ✨ HighlightHad a great time visiting The Garden Room for a late Saturday dinner (after 9 pm dinner reservation). We seated promptly upon arrival. A lively atmosphere with music and moderate noise - There was live entertainment (singer and saxophone player) who walk around the restaurant while dining and there is a DJ during breaks. The service was fairly prompt for a busy Saturday night and the dishes and drinks were good albeit the dishes are smaller portions. Fairly pricey for the portion sizes. There is bench seating for tables with stools on the outside in which the stools are not the most comfortable to sit on for an extended period of time and the tables are small as well. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a lowlight ambience. I would definitely visit again for appetizers and drinks to enjoy the upbeat atmosphere and beautiful interior. @sharpandsoundstyle $$$ There is valet parking→
