We came for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience! The glass elevator was a fun ride to the restaurant. The restaurant ambiance was beautifully decorated and intimately spaced out by table. The food was superb. I had the Steak Oscar which was perfection! And the views of the city were the best. We will be back!

My boyfriend and I spent a special evening at Polaris recently. We enjoyed the steak since it was very tender and delicious. We shared the scallops, and they were prepared to perfection. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was wonderful. The Bllue Dome desert was the right balance of flavors - chocolate, chocolate, and chocolate! We are looking forward to returning as the meal was excellent!

The restaurant is dated. It is overpriced for the food quality and the staff was stiff and seemed like they would rather not be working. Be prepared for young children they are allowed. Beware of the floor it has bumps due to the fact that the room spins. The menu had good choices and sounds good on paper. But, it lacked luster. My $98 Wagyu steak was not rendered of its fat. The plating was unattractive. I should have stopped with the Mitake appetizer. It was very good. And, priced well at around $18. I expected more from the Polaris.

I took my wife and my niece to Polaris for not only a wonderful dinner, but an excellent experience overall. We arrived a little early for our reservation, so the three of us walked around the lobby and looked at some of the art exhibits downstairs in the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. We then took an exciting glass elevator ride to Polaris, where we were greeted and shown to our table by the maitre'd. Of course, the night views of the city are amazing. We started our meal with the excellent charcuterie board with honey from their own hives on the roof. There was a varied selection of meats and cheeses--or favorites were the breseola and blue cheese, along with the strawberry jam, which was just as good as the honey. We also tried the escargot appetizer, which was rich and creamy with an earthy taste that made us want more. For our entrees, I had Steak Oscar, served with potato puree and asparagus with lump crab meat. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the accompanying bone marrow sauce tied everything together. My wife selected the oxtails dish with rutabagas. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the natural sweetness of the rutabagas was a tasty counterpoint to the savory oxtail. Our little niece wanted fish, and chose the steelhead trout dish. The meat was perfectly cooked and juicy--that she finished it before I could get a sample shows how much she liked it. The three of us shared two desserts. First, we tried the Blue Dome, a flourless chocolate torte with chocolate ice cream. The second dessert was an apple tasting confection with different expressions of Georgia apples. Both were delectable. All in all, we had an excellent meal made even better by the breathtaking views and the friendly and attentive staff. We will certainly be returning.
