✨ HighlightMy Best Friend & I are always looking for a great spot to eat on our days off. We did stumble upon Purple Patch online a few weeks ago and made it point to finally eat there last night. First off the General Manager Brigette was very friendly, accommodating and talked to us a bit before offering to show us around after dinner. Our server Dennis was an absolute pleasure and made great cocktail and cuisine suggestions for us to try. Everything was excellent from the staff, ambiance and menu. Looking forward to comeback again soon. What a Gem located in Mount Pleasant Washington DC. Cheers!!!!

✨ HighlightThis is a sleek Asian-styled bar that would remind you of a place from a cool anime. Nice aesthetic with the best Ramen dishes I've had so far. The Taipei curry chicken is very crispy and flavorful I was impressed. The pork dumplings I had were stir fry and it's definitely the way to go. Great cloud shrimp. Try the sake flights they are also good 👍🏾 Even as a small place its a good vibe

✨ HighlightFantastic sums up my whole experience there. The service was excellent, the waiter was attentive to our table's needs and had great suggestions. The mocktails were delicious. The food, oh my the food, was amazing. The flavor profile 🤌🏽 The Korean fried chicken is a must. The shrimp dumplings in the green butter sauce, my word. I could eat everything with a side of that sauce. The entrees were just as delicious. If you think a fried rice is a boring choice, thing again. Loved the combination of spices in every dish our table ordered. Looking forward to going back again!

✨ HighlightWe enjoyed our dinner there on the Thanksgiving weekend… the restaurant looks and feels homey, warm and comfortable.. casual with ethnic touches.. service was professional, we ordered the crispy rolls (just ok for me but my partner liked it), their signature claypot fish (great, on the sweet side), and wild boar. It was quite busy on a Friday night so I would recommend making a reservation in advance. Street parking was plenty around and free after 6pm I think.

✨ HighlightElevated home-style Filipino food off Rainer Ave in south Seattle. Definitely requires a reservation - they book up quickly so make your reservation well in advance… Drinks are amazing and fresh - menu rotates often, so there’s always something new to try. Same with the dinner menu: Beef Kare Kare is incredible. So is the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. (If you have a shellfish allergy, be sure to tell your server - quite a few dishes have shrimp or shrimp sauce/paste. The kitchen is very accommodating.) 💵 The bill includes a service charge (tip) in it already, regardless of party size, so be aware of that when the check arrives. Any tipping on top of that is extra.

✨ HighlightBeware of the 20% mandatory service charge that you are also taxed on, even for a small party of 2. You do not need to tip on top of that! I know a lot of people really like Kamonegi and I respect the local business aspect of it but I personally felt that it was a bit steep and unexpected to have a *mandatory* service fee at 20%, given that we were a small party of 2 and were there for a short time. The food is also pricey already. Our total came to $144 for two people. Now onto the food portion of the review: I came here with my partner for dinner and they had a seasonal menu. The food was decent and creative. I think I liked the squash and the amuse bouche the most, along with their dessert. The soba was good but didn't quite have enough protein for our liking (it's typical for things like ramen, I suppose, to have only a few small pieces of meat) and I'm not sure it's something we would crave. We tried both the beef/mushroom soba and the birria noodles. We thought they were decent but again, could have used more protein for the price. The appetizers that we got were interesting as well. If you like interesting combinations of fruit and meat, the persimmon wrapped in prosciutto might be something fun for you to try. I was not a huge fan but my partner liked it a lot. The anchovies were sweet and salty which we both thought was okay but not amazing. We both liked the squash tempura a lot, though. Finally, we really enjoyed the dessert with ice cream and daifuku. The restaurant is also fairly small so try to make reservations beforehand.

If you’re feeling adventurous and open to a fusion experience, you won’t b disappointed. The restaurant was cold due to the front door configuration. Wear layers in the cold winter weather. Would visit again.

✨ HighlightWe went for the summer restaurant week. You get a cold and a hot appetizer, assortment of sushi and a dessert. We opted for the soft shell crab and shabu shabu ramen, both were delicious and served hot out of the kitchen. Sushi is top quality and decadent of course. Hojicha pudding is uniquely toasty and silky. Not all RW deals are worth going, but I’d recommend the selection at sushi taro for the quality and the value of the food.

✨ HighlightOur experience was great. The staff called us because we were a little behind to let us know the kitchen closed no later than 9:15. We got in and were taken care of immediately. We sat at the counter and got to watch the team in action. It’s an intense kitchen vibe but cool to see the food come out. We order 5 small dishes to share and the pork cheek skewers, fried tofu and mushrooms in butter sauce were my favorites. I’d come back again for a larger selection!

✨ HighlightDining at Jōnt was an overall excellent experience. The food was outstanding, with the risotto being the highlight of the night. We chose to add fresh truffles, which complemented the dish beautifully and elevated it even further. The cocktails were also exceptional, and I appreciated the unique touch of choosing our own chopsticks for one of the courses. That said, I’m not really into desserts, and having four dessert courses was kinda overkill for me. The ambiance was okay, but sitting near the robata grill made it feel like a mini sauna—def not ideal for a long dinner. The service? Top-tier. They paced everything perfectly, which I appreciated since I’m a slow eater. The featured Californian quail was cool to try, but TBH, I’m more of a red meat kinda person. All in all, it’s definitely an experience—worth checking out if you’re into elevated dining with creative touches.
