I indulged in some of the most delicious desserts I’ve ever had—perfectly baked pies with flaky crusts, rich and creamy cheesecakes, and brownies so decadent they practically melt in your mouth. The savory dishes were just as impressive. Their slow-cooked barbecue, flavorful sides, and tender, juicy chicken were all cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor in every bite. Texas is rife with incredible BBQ experiences, but Truth has a very special element that sets it apart from everywhere else I’ve been in Houston, Texas. All of their staff people have excellent experience that has taken them all over Texas including places like Lockhart, which is the BBQ capital of Texas. What you will find is that all of their staff is full of passion for meat over of the fire as they strive to create a unique opportunity for the patrons. Everything is delicious! Tater Tot Casserole is something everyone should enjoy with that juicy brisket and incredible smoked turkey. If you have the opportunity, GO!!! Just be prepared to enjoy yourself!→

✨ HighlightWe’ve been to Pier 6 many times but last Friday was my favorite experience. I am allergic to seafood so there are minimal items on the menu for me to choose. I usually have the most incredible cheeseburger there, or I’ll have chicken tenders. Last Friday our awesome waiter asked the chef if he could make me grilled chicken breast, veggies, and pasta. Chef made it and blew my mind! WOW! I now have my perfect dish I’ll be having every time! I’m already looking forward to going back. Of course the Ocean Water is also calling my name! Side note: they have incredible seafood dishes! I don’t know personally but everyone we have gone with is always happy! I’ve not hear anyone complain… ever.→

✨ HighlightGreat birthday experience at Mastro’s! The waiters were all extremely welcoming and insightful with all wines and food recommendations. We were seated in a nice quiet area where it was more intimate with a Christmas tree to light the room up. Food was perfect. Portions are definitely big here so you’ll be having a to go box like we did. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.→

✨ HighlightThis is a complete dining experience. While the location is small and dated, they take great care to set the mood for fine dining with a quaintly modern atmosphere. The menu is short, but contains depth and breadth of profiles. The staff advised us on the dishes that were “controversial” to perhaps some less adventurous diners, but approaching every dish with an open mind led our party to incredible experiences. Our party looked at the menu and said “yes.” Our quintet ordered 13 dishes to share. The chef coursed them out over a couple of hours with a good pace that allowed for chats between gestational exploration. All of the dishes were presented beautifully by the staff, with beautiful colors and appetizing features on each plate, and recommended approaches from the chef. Not every dish hit the same, but we were glad to have journeyed through the gambit and found the surprisingly exciting flavors along the way. The strawberry buttercake was one of the most incredible desserts I’ve ever enjoyed.→

✨ HighlightIf there’s one thing you have to try at Coltivare, it’s the dessert—absolute perfection! While I haven’t had a chance to sample the rest of the menu yet, if the dessert is any indication, the food here must be incredible. Trust me, even if you just pop in for a sweet treat at the bar, it’s worth the trip. The staff truly sets this place apart. They’re friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged with the guests. We sat at the bar and watched them go above and beyond—chatting with customers, ensuring service was on point, and crafting amazing drinks. One of the bartenders even shared a personal tip to make our dessert experience even better and gave us thoughtful recommendations for food to try next time. While it’s definitely on the pricier side, the quality of the experience makes it worth it. I’ll absolutely be back and can’t wait to explore the full menu. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes and unforgettable desserts, Coltivare should be at the top of your list.→

✨ HighlightWe were walking around the Galleria Mall in Houston and found a random set of stairs leading up to this amazing Indian restaurant. We were able to go in and sit out on the balcony. Phenomenal view of the city. We had the most amazing service and explanation of what the food was. The food was served quite well in an expedited fashion. Service was amazing constantly coming back and checking on us. The first time we’ve ever eaten at a restaurant like this and it was probably one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Would highly recommend if you were in the Houston area.→

✨ HighlightI was in the area and wanted to eat some Italian food. After a quick search, I ended up here and was seated promptly on the well decorated patio. I enjoyed one of the gin based cocktails followed by the charred okra as a starter which was really good. The main pasta dish (tagliatelle Nero) was also prepared very well although it could have used a little more spice and salt. I got a special dessert of croissant bread pudding which was very rich but still enjoyable. Overall, I think this is a place worth checking out.→

✨ HighlightWe had a really nice experience at Clark’s Oyster Bar! Everything was excellent—the service, the atmosphere, and the food. While we didn’t explore the entire menu, we focused on oysters and appetizers. They have a great selection of oysters, all of which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. If you don’t have a favorite yet, this selection will give you a great opportunity to find one. We also tried the Crudo Plate and the Octopus, both of which were outstanding. The octopus, in particular, was the best I’ve had in a long time. I would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return to explore more of the menu!→

✨ HighlightSuch a hidden gem! Came in Saturday night. Kevin took amazing care of us. Gave great recommendations on food and drinks. Started with the house bread so good, ordered the Marsala mushroom pasta with side of baked chicken, lasagna special with side meat balls. Definitely didn’t need to add protein as the portions were large and very tasty. The entire staff was very attentive, didn’t need to ask for any refills and they constantly cleared our dirty dishes. ✨ HighlightWill be back! Came from out of town and was treated great by the staff. It was pretty empty on a Saturday evening, we were 1 of 2 parties. I say that, I loved it, to show what the vibes are. Very comfort and classic. You gotta get the joes hot chicken and pickles! Old fashioned was solid too!→

✨ HighlightThis was our first visit to Bar Louie. We frequent the movie theater, so we wanted to try something new while we were in the area. It was a nice vibe, music playing and people enjoying themselves. They were a little busy but someone did come over and say someone would be with us shortly. The young lady brought us some water in the meantime. Christian would end up taking care of us for the evening and he did a fantastic job. He made recommendations and checked on us frequently. The only downside to the evening was the food. We ordered some chicken quesadillas and buffalo wings. The quesadillas were absolutely delicious and well prepared. I cannot say the same for the buffalo wings. I'm big on presentation and some of the wings came out overcooked and/or burnt. I don't know how that was allowed to leave the kitchen being that it represents the brand. My wife likes her wings cooked a little longer, so I chose not to send them back. Despite this, we enjoyed our evening.→

✨ HighlightI did not see the episode of Ugly Delicious that everyone has been referencing. We were headed to another restaurant for dinner but on the way my husband suggested we try Nam Giao since it recently received the Michelin Bib Gourmand award. I was worried that it would be too crowded since the list just came out but we decided to try it anyway. We arrived slightly after 8pm on a Friday night. They close at 9pm. The restaurant wasn’t even half full so the waitress motioned us to a table right away. She was helping another table so it was some time later before she came over with the menus. I think she was the only waitress so service was very slow. We ordered the appetizer (of appetiser, as it is spelled on their menu) platter #5 which included items #1-3 (bánh bèo chén, bánh nậm, bánh bột lọc ) and chả huế. I ordered mì quảng and my husband ordered the bún bò huế. For drinks, I ordered water and my husband asked for chrysanthemum tea. She asked if we would like one or two teacups and we told her to bring 2. The tea came out first. Usually we let it seep a little before it is ready but we poured a little out and it was very dark already. It was very “dirty” with lots of chrysanthemum leaves and it was very muddy. The photo shows how cloudy it was and the other photo shows a layer of “stuff” that sank to the bottom after sitting for a bit. Chrysanthemum tea should be light and clear. She did not bring my water so I had to ask for it again. Even after we got our food and were eating, I still didn’t have water and I sent my husband up to the counter to get water for me. The appetizers were ok. The bánh nậm was a little bland. It was ok after you put a lot of the fish sauce on it. I did not like my mì quảng at all and I left most of my bowl untouched. First of all, it didn’t look very appetizing. The chunks of pork were too big and fatty. Crushed peanuts were on top but it looked like a heaping of dust. Shrimp were dry, broth was too thick. Noodles were too thick as well. There was a chả huế in the bowl also. We had the same with the appetizers but they cut it up into thirds for this dish. I took a bit into one of the pieces and it tasted sour like it was spoiled. I spit it out immediately so I just hope I don’t get sick tonight. My husband’s bún bò Huế tasted like bbh but it was very bland as if it was watered down. I do want to note that I make both these dishes and I know what they are supposed to taste like. There are so many other restaurants in Houston that make these dishes a hundred times better. We were so disappointed in this restaurant. I left still hungry and completely dissatisfied - and thirsty.→

✨ HighlightSo we had been hearing so much about this place we decided to stop in and try it. We ordered the 2 meat platter with smoked turkey breast and pulled pork. We also ordered the brisket enchiladas. For sides we ordered the mac and cheese and the sweet corn casserole. The smoked turkey was dry and the flavor was okay. The pulled pork was bland and marginal at best. The brisket enchiladas were fantastic and definitely worth trying. The mac and cheese was decent. The sweet corn casserole was delicious and one of the better sweet corn dishes we've had. They did not serve any of the usual side fixings like pickles, onions, or jalapenos which was very disappointing. The sweet tea was not very sweet either. Finally the interior decor was a bit spartan. There are only windows on one side of the restaurant so you feel like you're eating inside a tomb. The seating is awkward at best. With that said, I would not recommend Brett's. If you're in the Katy area there are many other better options.→
