We were walking around the Galleria Mall in Houston and found a random set of stairs leading up to this amazing Indian restaurant. We were able to go in and sit out on the balcony. Phenomenal view of the city. We had the most amazing service and explanation of what the food was. The food was served quite well in an expedited fashion. Service was amazing constantly coming back and checking on us. The first time we’ve ever eaten at a restaurant like this and it was probably one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Would highly recommend if you were in the Houston area.

I recently dined at Musaafer, a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant, and while the experience had its high points, it left me with mixed feelings overall. The decor was absolutely stunning and one of the highlights of the evening. It beautifully showcased Indian culture from the past, with authentic and thoughtful design elements that truly stood out. It felt like stepping into a space where history and modern elegance met—a perfect atmosphere for a Sunday dinner or a weekend gathering with friends. When it came to the food, the presentation was impressive, but the flavors lacked the authenticity I had hoped for. I’m used to being asked about spice levels at Indian restaurants, but here, it seemed like there was only one standard level, which didn’t fully capture the complexity of Indian spices. However, the mango drink was delightful—refreshing and perfectly crafted. And the dessert? Absolutely mind-blowing! It was a standout moment of the meal and something I’d definitely return for. While the food didn’t completely meet my expectations in terms of flavor and spice, the ambiance, decor, and a couple of standout items made the experience worthwhile.

If you like going to places just to be seen, then this would be for you. The food and service is certainly NOT worth the price. The food is very average and there is absolutely nothing extra ordinary about the decor nor ambiance. On arrival, the Maitre’d found our reservation, but however, was later unable to find it again when the other guest arrived shortly afterwards, my guest had to phone me so I could come get them at the reception. The cutlery is placed directly onto the table, which is a disgusting practice as the tables are not sanitised after each use, our table was sticky and greasy in parts. The Wait Staff need to be properly trained as they talk right into your food when they explain your dish at the table, if you have OCD this will freak you out. Charging $54 for 4 Lamb Chops ( Dish : Rizala ), which was basically nothing but fat is an insult !! Seriously. Very cheeky to add a 20% service charge. Will not be going back.

Usually, elegant restaurants have small portions, small tables, and overcharge. Service was incredible with stories about the origins of many dishes. Portions were so big, we were near full before the entree. We shared an entree. Dish quality was spectacular. They of course include 20% gratuity, but don't even allow tips after on the receipt which just shows that the quality service and effort is so genuine. Checked all the major boxes, but all the attention to the small details really makes this place exceptional.
