Catedral Primada de Bogotá, also known as the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, is the largest and most important Catholic church in Colombia. 历史背景

Construction began in 1807 on the site of earlier churches, and the cathedral was consecrated in 1823. It was designed by Spanish architect Fray Domingo de Petrés and later remodeled. It has witnessed key events in Colombian history, including the funeral of Simón Bolívar.
