✨ HighlightDELICIOUS food, fast and SUPER friendly service, would definitely come back! I noticed that the servers asked each table where they're from, which was very nice. If you get the famous Gyopao soup dumplings, BE CAREFUL. The broth is literally boiling when it arrives at the table and the broth inside the dumpling can burn your tongue, too, if you're hasty. With patience, you'll have a wonderful meal

From the moment we stepped in, every staff member, including the boss, greeted our family with such warmth and friendliness. They made us and our two young children (aged 5 and 7) feel incredibly welcome. The service was outstanding—attentive and thoughtful throughout our meal. We especially appreciated how quickly the staff attended to our requests, such as promptly bringing water for our kids without any delay. Their genuine hospitality truly stood out and made us feel so cared for. Of course, the gyoza were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. This place is a must-visit for anyone looking for fantastic food and exceptional service. Thank you for making our meal so memorable!

✨ HighlightGreat place! The line was long and a 90-minute wait. We were able to take a reservation at the time, and they called us. In the meantime, I went shopping with my family. When they called us, we went down the stairs and pre ordered our food and waited in line. Getting into the room, there were small seats to sit in, and a little table with some instructions on it. There were blockers, so you could not see the employees or my family. If you ordered a half boiled salted egg, you get to unwrap it yourself, and the instructions are on a little sheet taped to the table. I decided to get the original tonkutsu ramen with my own decisions for things like stiffness of noodles and if you wanted pork in your ramen. After all this, you get your ramen and take some pictures, and start slurping it down. Loved the ramen with a nice tonkutsu flavor! The egg is super good and easy to slurp and eat while the meat is chewy but easy to eat with and amazing broth and perfect noodles. Got the matcha pudding, which was not the best and too rich for me. The pudding looked good but wasn't my favorite. Overall, the meal was super good, and just the only downfall was the pudding and wait. The employees don't talk much and you don't see their faces. The place is warm and has some hangers for jackets and other clothing. They have a bathroom and there is a lot of toilet paper there which was super funny to me and there was a link that you could visit if you had to use the urgent secret weapon for doing your business.😅😂My second time coming to Ichiran and obviously my favorite too. Although I do not recommend getting the instant ramen because it is a lot worse than the ramen that you eat inside the store and is too salty. Plus, if you do like the ramen even after this warning, you should get it at a convenience store because they are a lot cheaper there.

✨ HighlightDisappoined, REALLY NOT WORTH I found this restaurant famous for grilled eel fish from Google Map, but I felt very very disappointed after visiting the place for dinner with my friend. First, the menu placed on Google was a few years ago, the price has gone up a lot, the medium eel fish rice cost Yen 6xxx , the large Yen 7xxx, we were asked that each of us ( two ppl) had to place at least 1 order of the above, so each person has to pay at least Yen 7xxx just for a small box of thin layer of rice and small pcs of thin grilled eel. Second, the eel looked okay in the photo but actually the meat quality was not fresh and tastless at all. In fact we were the only guests in the restaurant and we did not see anyone to queue up as mentioned in the reviews and photo. Last, the air conditioning was also poor and i sweated through eating.

The crab bento, served in a charming crab-shaped container, was packed with sweet, delicate crab meat layered over well-seasoned rice. The freshness and umami flavor of the crab were exceptional, and the pickled garnish added a nice balance. The second bento offered a variety of flavors and textures: a fluffy tamagoyaki, tender chicken pieces, savory beef, fresh greens, and crisp tempura. Each compartment was thoughtfully prepared and seasoned to perfection. The presentation was impeccable, and the attention to detail made the experience feel special. ✨ HighlightIntimate yakitori place with warm and welcoming service that hugs you as soon as you step in the door. They are attentive without being obsequious and I particularly enjoyed watching the jovial interaction between the chefs, the customer facing staff (although you might say they are all customer facing in such an intimate joint with diners seated at an elongated horseshoe shaped counter watching) and some customers who I assume are regulars. We had the ¥8,800 omakase with interspersed pieces of chicken and vegetables grilled to perfection. You have to excuse my pictures which give the false impression of the amount of food as I keep forgetting to take a pic until halfway through a skewer. They explain every skewer as it's brought to you at a leisurely pace that I find particularly conducive to carrying on a conversation. If I lived in Tokyo, I could easily imagine this as one of my favourite places to catch up with mates over a few skewers and a drink or two. And speaking of drinks, in addition to sakes, they also have a small but well curated reasonably priced list of wines that you can have by the glass! Why wouldn't more restaurants do this?
