Located in the vibrant streets of Tokyo, Sushi Ebisu is a delightful destination for sushi lovers seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience. This restaurant, with its intimate setting and a mere ten seats, offers an impressive 22-course omakase for 10,000 yen, showcasing both classic Edomae sushi and creative dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients. Guests rave about the quality and flavor, with many noting the reasonable prices considering the high-end experience. However, language barriers may pose a challenge for English-speaking diners, and the restaurant’s proximity to the washroom can feel a bit cramped during busy dinner service. Sushi Ebisu promises a unique culinary journey for both locals and tourists alike.

Sushi rice was more vinegary than expected. Some items had very interesting taste that was a hit or miss. They do not speak English so beware if you are looking for a English friendly omakase experience. They have one washroom that is literally beside the the dining room so that leaves you with very little privacy if you must use it during dinner. The positive is that they do offer 22 courses and for 10,000 yen.
How is it possible to make reservation? All is fully booked till 31.10?
Ebisu Sushi had sushi as expected, but in addition -- the place apparently being run by a Vietnamese family -- had a large variety of Vietnamese dishes. I chose a sushi version with mango and beef, plus the ginger duck and both were excellent. Then it was very enjoyable to finish with a Vietnamese coffee prepared with a phin.
My husband and I just had dinner here. We hsd no trouble getting a table before 5:30 p.m., but if you go later, it might be advisable to book in advance. The menu offered a lot of variety, including vegetarian options. Our food was delicious. The prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in the Urfahr area & looking for high-quality Asian food.
