Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens

Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens is a museum and garden located in the affluent River Oaks neighborhood of Houston, Texas. The property was originally the home of philanthropist and art collector Ima Hogg, who donated it to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The house features an extensive collection of American decorative arts and furniture from the 17th to 19th centuries, displayed in period rooms that evoke different eras. Một chút lịch sử

Built in 1928 for Ima Hogg, the house was designed by architect John F. Staub. Miss Hogg lived there until 1965, when she donated the house and its collection to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. It opened as a museum in 1966.
