Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens is a museum and garden located in the affluent River Oaks neighborhood of Houston, Texas. The property was originally the home of philanthropist and art collector Ima Hogg, who donated it to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The house features an extensive collection of American decorative arts and furniture from the 17th to 19th centuries, displayed in period rooms that evoke different eras. The surrounding 14-acre garden is a serene oasis with themed areas, including a butterfly garden, a rose garden, and a woodland path along the bayou. Visitors can take guided tours of the house to learn about the history of the collection and the Hogg family, or explore the gardens at their own pace.
