Riding through the rice fields
The flat lanes between Hoi An and the coast run through rice paddies, vegetable plots and small fishing hamlets on the river. Cycling is how most people who live here move around, and the ground is level enough that it asks nothing of your fitness. The fishing half usually means a round basket boat and a demonstration of the square dip nets on the river.
Worth knowing: There is almost no shade on the lanes. Morning departures are much easier than afternoon ones.

- Meeting point in Hoi An city: 429A Cua Dai St, Hoi An. Meeting point in Da Nang city: 14 An Nhon 10 St, Son Tra.
