The Basilica of Our Lady of Zapopan is a significant religious landmark in the Guadalajara area, drawing thousands of pilgrims annually. Inside, the revered statue of the Virgin of Zapopan, a small, dark-skinned figure known as 'La Generala', is displayed above the main altar.
