Beidha is a Neolithic archaeological site located just north of Petra, dating back to around 7200 BCE. Unlike the later Nabataean city, Beidha preserves the remains of a prehistoric farming community, with well-preserved stone houses, courtyards, and evidence of early agriculture. Visitors can walk among the excavated structures and imagine daily life in one of the world's earliest known villages. The site is less crowded than Petra, providing a peaceful, contemplative experience amid stunning desert scenery.
