Santa Corona is a striking Gothic church in Vicenza, known for its serene atmosphere and significant art treasures. The church's name refers to a relic of the Crown of Thorns, which it once housed. Inside, visitors can admire masterpieces such as Veronese's 'Adoration of the Magi' and Giovanni Bellini's 'Baptism of Christ', both set in ornate chapels. The chapel of the Blessed Virgin features intricate frescoes and a revered altarpiece. The church's soaring nave and stained-glass windows create a contemplative space, while the adjacent cloister offers a quiet garden. Santa Corona also contains the Valmarana Chapel, a Renaissance gem designed by Palladio.
