King Abdulaziz Historical Center is a heritage complex in Riyadh that includes the Murabba Palace compound, the National Museum, parks, and cultural institutions. The Murabba Palace was built in 1936/37 about 1.5 km north of the old city walls. After 1953 it fell into disuse, then was restored and expanded for the centennial celebrations.
