Standing along Muralla Street within the walled city of Intramuros, the Aduana Building (also called the Aduana de Manila) is a striking example of Spanish colonial architecture. Built in the 19th century, it once housed the customs and tax offices that regulated trade through the nearby Port of Manila. The structure features neoclassical elements, with a grand facade, arched windows, and a central courtyard. 历史背景
Constructed in the 1820s under Spanish rule, the Aduana Building was the custom house for Manila's port. It survived the 1863 earthquake but was heavily damaged in the 1945 Battle of Manila. Restoration efforts began in the late 20th century.
