Minar-e-Pakistan

Minar-e-Pakistan is a national monument and iconic landmark located in the heart of Lahore's Iqbal Park. The 70-meter-tall minaret was built to commemorate the Lahore Resolution of 1940, which called for the creation of a separate homeland for Muslims in South Asia. The structure blends Islamic, Mughal, and modern architectural styles, with a base shaped like a five-pointed star and a soaring tower adorned with intricate calligraphy and carvings. 历史背景

The Lahore Resolution was passed on March 23, 1940, at the annual session of the All-India Muslim League in Iqbal Park. Minar-e-Pakistan was built between 1960 and 1968 to mark the site, designed by architect Nasreddin Murat-Khan and funded by public contributions.
