Minar-e-Pakistan

Minar-e-Pakistan is a national monument and iconic landmark located in the heart of Lahore's Iqbal Park. The 70-meter-tall minaret was built to commemorate the Lahore Resolution of 1940, which called for the creation of a separate homeland for Muslims in South Asia. The structure blends Islamic, Mughal, and modern architectural styles, with a base shaped like a five-pointed star and a soaring tower adorned with intricate calligraphy and carvings. Visitors can climb to the top for panoramic views of Lahore, including the nearby Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort. The surrounding park is a popular recreational area, filled with families, picnickers, and vendors. Minar-e-Pakistan is not only a tourist attraction but also a powerful symbol of national pride and historical significance.

Một chút lịch sử

The Lahore Resolution was passed on March 23, 1940, at the annual session of the All-India Muslim League in Iqbal Park. Minar-e-Pakistan was built between 1960 and 1968 to mark the site, designed by architect Nasreddin Murat-Khan and funded by public contributions.
