The Qingdao Aquarium, also known as Qingdao Underwater World, is China's oldest public aquarium, opened in 1932. It sits on the shore of Huiquan Bay next to the No. 1 Bathing Beach in Shinan District. The aquarium consists of four main exhibition halls connected by tunnels, with a moving platform that takes visitors through a tunnel where you can see fish from every angle. Mermaid shows are a popular attraction.
