Pacific Central Station

Pacific Central Station is Vancouver's main intercity rail hub, located at 1150 Station Street in the vibrant Yaletown and False Creek North neighborhood. Built in 1919 as a Canadian Northern Railway terminal, the station features elegant Beaux-Arts architecture with a grand facade, marble floors, and a spacious waiting hall. It serves as the terminus for Amtrak's Cascades service to Seattle and Portland, as well as the luxury Rocky Mountaineer tourist trains. The station is also a transit hub, connecting to SkyTrain's Expo and Millennium Lines at Main Street–Science World station, and to several bus routes. Visitors will find a mix of historic charm and modern amenities, including a café, ticket counters, and luggage storage. While not a major tourist attraction itself, its architecture and role as a gateway to the city make it a notable landmark. The surrounding area offers easy access to Science World, the False Creek seawall, and trendy Yaletown restaurants.

历史背景

Opened in 1919 as the Pacific Central Station for Canadian Northern Railway, it later served Canadian National and Via Rail. It was designated a heritage railway station in 1991 and underwent renovations in the 2000s to accommodate Amtrak and Rocky Mountaineer services.
