✨ HighlightA must try restaurant in Chicago, highly rated and reviewed for good reason. A very unique breakfast and brunch and lunch menu. I highly recommend the “Tineka” sandwich- which includes the LULA special spicy peanut butter on fresh multi grain bread with so many other fresh flavors including the perfectly textured sprouts! Oh my goodness one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Service is very prompt and attentive. This place can be hard to get at a table on the weekends; easier during the weekdays for sure. Something to notice, they include a 20% service fee in the check, which they explain on a flyer thing when they drop the check. Overall great chill atmosphere, awesome music in the background and cool local art hanging on the walls. Delicious coffee ☕️ and lattes as well!→

✨ HighlightFirst off, I never dreamed I would visit Chicago. My husband and I got tickets for a conference at the Now arena, and so, here we are. While out on our trip we wanted to sightsee, be tourists, and discover some of Chicago’s best foods. I googled “best pizza” and that led me to Spacca Napoli. We took the hour long trip to the city and finally arrived at our destination. Parking was off the main roads and was free to park. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by a beautiful, smiling face… her name was Violet. She warmly invited us in, grabbed us a sample of their focaccia bread with some wine while we waited to be seated. The time went by fast and before long we were seated. Our waiter, who had an Italian accent, did an amazing job. The pizza was literally scrumptious, felt like I had been lied to my entire life and never will I be able to eat and enjoy just any pizza again. The atmosphere, staff, and food knocked me off my feet. My belly even giggled many times over. A place like this will be my reason to go back and visit Chicago again. Thank you Spacca Napoli. 10 out of 10!!→

✨ HighlightThis place was a highlight of my trip to Chicago. Crisp has tasty flavors for their chicken as well as huge quantities. The veggitable bowl was super refreshing, delicious, and paired well with the fried chicken. Make sure to grab a lot of napkins because it's messy work, and you're going to want to eat it all. ✨ HighlightGreat experience. Not only the food was amazing, full of surprising flavours and perfectly prepared but service with Fernando was simply perfect. Such a nice person with perfect advices on food selection and wine pairing. The music would be a bit more jazzy and subtle and the ambiance would be perfect too. My only comment would be that the truffle were too subtle in the roasted chicken, the meat portion was almost too generous, I would have preferred a bit more vegetables. My expectations were a bit too high maybe, in any case it was still a marvellous experience.→

✨ HighlightOriole exceeded our expectations, which was no easy task because our expectations were high. Our reservation was relatively late (8:30pm) and, as someone who tends to go to bed early, I was concerned about that. Turns out, I needn't have been; once the experience began, time was irrelevant. From the moment we entered the reception area until we departed, the service team at Oriole treated us like visiting royalty. Don't mistake that, though, for stuffy ambiance; service was both sophisticated and approachable. Every person we encountered was friendly, informative and engaging. This staff clearly prioritizes connection with their guests. I loved hearing stories about the winemakers featured in the beverage pairing. Oh, and the food. The food is beyond compare. If you appreciate depth of flavor, creative combinations and exquisite plating, you will be a fan of each course Oriole crafts. Truly, dining at Oriole is better classified as an experience than a meal. In my personal Facebook post, I described it as flawless and wholly phenomenal. I stand by both of those descriptors. If ever I have an opportunity to dine here again, I will not hesitate to book.→

✨ HighlightMy fiancé and I had a fabulous dinner on the back patio last night weekend. Everything is meant for sharing, which is our favorite because you get to try so many tasty things. All of the food was delicious but the raviolo and the donut dessert were the stand outs. Also got the Brussels sprouts, steak tartare and the short rib. The drinks were also delicious - the honey lavender lemonade + gin was so refreshing. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.→

✨ HighlightHave done several one star restaurants both in Chicago and other cities, and now having an experience at Alinea I think I can finally articulate what the difference between a one star and a three star. The food itself was well presented, paced, and was an excellent experience across all senses. We did a wine pairing and also enjoyed the selection along with the personal service from the house sommelier. Atmosphere was excellent as well, while there are a good number of seats everything is segmented into small clusters of tables. Room is dimly lit and general noise level is nice. Where things really stand out is the service, silverware promptly changed, plates collected; staff were both friendly and incredibly attentive. This is really where you get the difference between a one and a three star - food may be the same level of presentation and quality, but the staff really shine. I think my only complaint would be timing & seating. Personally I enjoy when a group of tables is timed to be seated together. This not only makes the experience feel a bit more shared, and preserves the surprise for each dish. It doesn't detract much from the overall experience and I think if they went this route it might make maintaining the level of service they have challenging. Absolutely would return again in the future.→

✨ HighlightThis was my first Michelin Star experience. The thought and detail that go into the service and dishes are impeccable. Do yourself a favor and get the non-spirit pairing instead of the wine pairing. Each drink was related to the dish and each was delicious. Menu is seasonal and I went during the winter menu so ingredients used are what is most fresh this time of year. My favorite dish was coconut chicken soup and the grilled hiramasa fish. At the end they offer a tour of the kitchen and I was able to see the chefs at work and got a quick explanation on how they make this flawless service possible. The owner and chef, Curtis Duffy, was also there! Very expensive but worth the money in my opinion!→

✨ HighlightThe hot pot at Qiao Lin Hotpot is hands down the best I’ve had yet! The experience was so much fun, but I’d highly recommend bringing someone who’s familiar with hot pot if it’s your first time—the menu can feel a little overwhelming at first. One of the highlights for me was the sauce bar, where you can customize your own dipping sauce to match your taste—it really adds to the experience. ✨ HighlightAmazing 5-course tasting menu blending Filipino and Cuban flavors. Each of our dishes were complex layers of flavors woven into an amazing experience. Cooking techniques were spot on. All three of us had a different favorite dish (arroz caldo / octopus / dessert). Service was attentive and courses were well paced. Good sized portions and attractively balanced plates. ✨ HighlightI found out this place through Instagram reels, and was not disappointed when I came to visit. The store felt very similar to malls in China, and everything was clean and organized. The food options here are particularly unique, with everything from claypot to dim sum to sushi. We tried food from the 312 Fish Market, the claypot stall, and the Northeastern Food Stall. The mala beef burrito (麻辣牛肉卷)was definitely the best bang for your buck, but the salmon don had some of the best quality fish I've tasted. The claypot rice got better with time (I enjoyed it more as leftovers than in the initial meal), and the greens were tender and perfect for balancing out the meal. We also stopped at the bakery stall, which offered a fresh selection of bakery classics in addition to some trendy items such as puddings, mousses, and soufflé cakes. The cake was light and fluffy and the egg tarts had an excellent flaky pastry crust. I can't wait to come back and try more stalls! The boba shop downstairs also looked quite promising.→

Every dish reflected a deep appreciation for the seasonality of ingredients, which added to the charm. North Pond remains one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago and deserves endless praise. Reservations must be made online in advance, and when booking, you can choose from veg, non-veg, or vegan tasting menus. We opted for the non-veg tasting menu, which includes seven tasting options, with the option to add extras for an additional price, finishing with a delicious dessert and treats. The entire menu was exceptional—each dish was mouth-watering, stylishly presented, and bursting with flavor. The service was excellent, with knowledgeable staff who explained every dish and were flexible in offering recommendations and adjusting meat options. ✨ HighlightCome Early for the Pastries—but Be Ready to Wait If you’re planning to visit Kasama, make sure to get there early! I arrived around 8:10, and there were already people waiting in line—even in freezing rain. This spot is definitely popular, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. When it comes to the savory food, it was good but not particularly memorable. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth the long wait—it’s solid, but nothing that blew me away. Now, the pastries? Absolutely worth it! I tried four different kinds, and each one was delicious. I’d gladly wait in line again just to get my hands on those pastries. If you’re a fan of baked goods, this is definitely the place to go!→

✨ HighlightIf you love sushi and find yourself in Chicago, look no further than Sushi Dokku! One of the coolest concepts I have been to in recent memory. We made reservations for the Booze Box downstairs below the main dining area. It is intimate and dark. Booth seating surrounds the bar and a DJ booth sets in the corner for the weekend events. The menu is full of surprises and you need to try a little bit of everything. The salad prepared our taste buds by waking them up. We then got punched with flavor and heat by the Hot Daisy roll. Then soothed by the dumplings only to be mesmerized by the unmatched flavor and perfection of the lamb chops. Do not sleep on these chops! Eat them now! Enjoy!→

✨ HighlightWith an extensive selection of wines and a four-course prix fixe menu, the price was surprisingly affordable. The waitstaff were very nice and kind, but the only small issue was the waiting time between courses. After the first dish, we had to wait about 30 minutes for the next one. However, the pacing felt more natural after that and it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, we had a great time! In my personal opinion, they excel in seafood dishes.→

✨ Highlight"Oaxaca: The Story of Seven Moles" was a delightful introduction to the Mexican sauce and its variety of flavours. Every dish was exquisite in its own way, and the food-mole pairing was very well done. The wait staff were also patient in explaining each dish, though it was hard to catch as the accent was thick at times, but I see that as a sign of authenticity.→

Since we were all sharing our order, they thoughtfully served us each dish sequentially as different courses and that worked out really well. ✨ HighlightWe've come here multiple times for dinner and a few times for breakfast pastries and coffees - amazing experience each time. For breakfast, there is always an ample amount of savory and sweet options in the pastry box. And the coffee selection is great. The vibes at this time are also great. It's an order at the counter experience, and you can dine in. There's usually lots of seating available, or you can grab it to go. People bring their laptops to work while enjoying their coffees. For dinner, we've gone as a date night and with a group of 6. Both experiences were excellent. For both occasions, we did shared plating - aiming to try as many pastas as possible :). Whatever is a seasonal sauce, make sure to get it. Their ingredients are so fresh and it really comes out in the flavor! The french onion dip is an easy add on. I can't wait to come back for the next season's menu. I also can't wait to come back and try lunch! It looked like they had salads and sandwiches for lunch that seem like a must try.→

The octopus antipasti was well liked, though our favorite was the pesto pasta with added salmon. It was fresh and a perfect balance of pesto, cheese and cream. I also had an espresso martini which was nice. One in our party had the burger and it was a large portion and looked great.→

The Indian street food was just right, with lots of savory, salty, sweet, tangy and crunchy bites. Unfortunately, service was dismal. We went at a non -busy time but they forgot one of our orders.
