We were looking for a place opened on a holiday and we came across Superkhana! I really enjoy finding places that offer creative dishes and we were in for a treat! The food was awesome, interesting twists on familiar dishes with new mixes and inventions. The service was really friendly and down to earth. They explained their menu in a way that made us all comfortable to ask questions and feel confident in knowing what to order. Since we were all sharing our order, they thoughtfully served us each dish sequentially as different courses and that worked out really well. We were intrigued to try out their ice cream in the dessert menu cuz we all love cardamom and they gave us a complimentary addition. Thank you for a wonderful evening and we look forward to returning!
If you like to try innovative twist to Indian cuisine, then this is definitely for you. If you are tired of sane red curry at every Indian restaurant in Midwest, then surely you must visit. Very nice, cozy and comfy ambiance. You get a warm welcome and very nice servers. We loved the smoked eggplant Bao. The rest of the food had nuanced tastes and felt very fresh. But nothing was out of this world mind blowing that we tried. Strongly recommend for innovation and freshness.
Food was delicious, we had almost every meal on the menu. Drinks - with and without alcohol - and dessert were fantastic. Servers knowledgeable and ambience is comfortable and beautiful
Joined friends here for brunch, at their recommendation. Went in a little skeptical--Indian isn't my favorite cuisine, and it seemed a bit of a funny fit for a weekend brunch. Pleasantly surprised! There's some super-cool stuff going on at Superkhana when it comes to Indian flavors and textures and/or Indian twists on more traditional Western foods. 4 brunch entrees were all huge hits: the French toast had a super-delicious twist with the syrup, the pulled pork sandwich was brought alive with tamarind chutney that cut the fat, the smoked beet sandwich was a vegetarian revelation, and the griddle cake was an awesome twist on pancakes. The dishes were colorful and well-presented, too. The space and service are a win--the space was vibrant and casual, with fun pops of color. Staff knew their food, made great recommendations, and were attentive. Don't neglect the cocktails--a bloody mary with cumin hit the spot! A great additional to Chicago's brunch scene and definitely worth the trip to Logan Square for those staying elsewhere.
