Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park

Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park, also known as the Sun and Moon Pagodas, is a tranquil oasis in the heart of Guilin. The park centers on a lake where two distinctive pagodas stand, one made of bronze (the Sun Pagoda) and one of glass (the Moon Pagoda). Visitors can walk across an underwater passage connecting the pagodas, which is a unique experience. By day, the park offers peaceful paths, traditional architecture, and reflections on the water. At night, the pagodas are illuminated, creating a magical scene that is popular for evening strolls and photography. The pagodas were built in 2001 as part of a cultural development project, inspired by traditional Tang Dynasty pagoda styles. They symbolize the harmony of yin and yang, with the bronze Sun Pagoda representing yang and the glass Moon Pagoda representing yin.
