Russian Style Street

Russian Style Street, also known as Russian Street, is a pedestrian-friendly thoroughfare in Dalian's Xigang District that evokes the city's historical ties with Russia. The street features a collection of early 20th-century buildings with onion domes, pastel facades, and ornate details, originally built when Dalian was under Russian influence. Today, it's a popular tourist strip filled with souvenir shops selling Matryoshka dolls, amber jewelry, and Russian-themed trinkets, as well as food stalls offering local snacks like grilled squid and candied hawthorn. The street is relatively short, about 500 meters, and can be explored in under an hour. While the architecture is charming, the area feels commercialized and crowded, especially on weekends.
