Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque, also called the Red Mosque, is a historic Islamic place of worship in Colombo's Pettah district. Built in 1909, it is famous for its vibrant red-and-white striped brickwork and Indo-Saracenic architecture, with intricate details and tall minarets. The mosque is a prominent landmark in the bustling Pettah area, attracting visitors for its photogenic facade and peaceful interior. Non-Muslims can enter the courtyard but not the prayer hall.
