King Salman Park

King Salman Park is a large urban park being developed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the site of the former Riyadh Air Base. It is part of the Green Riyadh initiative and is expected to be one of the largest urban parks in the world, with a planned area four times that of New York's Central Park. The park will include green spaces, cultural venues, sports facilities, and a traffic-free path for walking and cycling.

Немного истории

The project was announced in March 2019 by King Salman and is part of Saudi Vision 2030. Construction began in late 2021 after contracts were awarded. The first completed component, the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Tunnel, opened in February 2024.
