The CF Toronto Eaton Centre is a shopping mall and office complex in downtown Toronto. It sits on top of two subway stations and is close to Union Station, making it North America's busiest shopping mall when counting daily commuters along with tourist traffic. The main retail mall is organized around a long arcade running parallel to Yonge Street, with over 230 stores and restaurants.

Um pouco de história

The mall was named after the Eaton's department store chain that once anchored it. Construction began in the 1970s after earlier plans were revised to preserve Old City Hall and the Church of the Holy Trinity. The first phase opened in 1977, and the south half opened in 1979. The complex was designed by Eberhard Zeidler and Bregman + Hamann Architects, modelled after the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.
