The Liaoning Provincial Museum in Shenyang is a major museum of history and fine arts. Its permanent collections include archaeological finds from the Hongshan and Xinle cultures, bronze tools and weapons from the Shang and Zhou periods, Chinese steles, ancient coins, Ming and Qing dynasty artworks, and tomb relics.

- The nearest bus stop is 'Zhihui Si Street & Quanyun San Road', served by bus routes 100, 108, 130, 198, and v112. Bus v112 can be caught from Baitahe Road Station on Metro Line 2.
- The museum is closed on Mondays and during the Chinese New Year public holiday.
Een stukje geschiedenis
The museum was founded as the Northeast Museum and opened on July 7, 1949. It was renamed the Liaoning Provincial Museum in 1959. In July 2003, it moved to a new building on the east side of Government Square in Shenyang.
