✨ HighlightThere is no better way to experience a country than through its food. La Puerta Falsa delivers that experience through every bite! Come hungry as the dishes are so filling and delicious with a large portion sizes. We tried all different types of their local cuisine, but it was the tamale that stood out from the crowd. The first reaction is that it was a huge tamale wrapped in plant leaves compared to a traditional corn husk tamale. This created a beautiful aroma on the nose while allowing the chicken to remain decently moist, falling off the bone with every bite. The restaurant is small and charming. If you have trouble with stairs, try to get a seat on the first level as the stairs can feel a bit steep. We did not experience the shoulder to shoulder eating as we came near closing, but with no doubt when the restaurant is rocking, serving out tasty meals, expect to be shoulder to shoulder eating history. Come through and be the judge for yourself, and look forward to trying one of the oldest restaurants in Bogota. I would recommend to any visiting Bogota.→

✨ HighlightIts somehow a very famous chain, but we went there for lunch and although atmosphere was nice food was quite mediocre. Its probably more famous with its brunch menu which has local authentic dishes but we have missed it and the rest of the menu was nothing special.→

✨ HighlightOne of the best meals ever. Don’t listen to anyone that says otherwise. Drinks are also amazing. Ordered salmon sushi (omg) and beet salad to start. Weird but salad stole the show. The dishes are simple, but not so simple that you could easily pull them off at home. The meat and fish dishes were the least exciting, lacking the spark of the other plates. As for the cheese with figs, that was just a silly choice on my part. The rest of the small dishes, though, were interesting and enjoyable. Overall, it was a good experience, though a bit pricey for the context. That said, I’ll be back. The place itself is stunning—absolutely gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The music was fantastic, too: Colombian tracks from a mix of styles that really added to the vibe. The only problem? It was way too loud for a restaurant, and when I asked if they could turn it down, they simply said, this is the volume we want.→
