B. B. D. Bagh, formerly known as Dalhousie Square, is the historic and commercial heart of Kolkata. This grand square is surrounded by imposing colonial-era structures, including the iconic Writers' Building, the General Post Office, and the Raj Bhavan. Visitors can stroll around the tank (water body) at the center, which was once part of the Maratha Ditch, and admire the blend of Gothic and Indo-Saracenic architecture.
