The Egg, officially known as the Beirut City Center Dome, is an iconic landmark that resembles a giant egg. Built in the 1960s as a futuristic cinema, it was never fully completed due to the outbreak of the Lebanese Civil War. During the war, it served as a sniper post and later fell into disrepair, but its distinctive shape remained intact. In recent years, it has been repurposed as a cultural space hosting art exhibitions, concerts, and events. Visitors can explore its raw concrete interior, which retains a post-apocalyptic charm, and enjoy panoramic views of the city from its upper levels.
