The Egg, Beirut

The Egg, officially known as the Beirut City Center Dome, is an iconic landmark that resembles a giant egg. Built in the 1960s as a futuristic cinema, it was never fully completed due to the outbreak of the Lebanese Civil War. During the war, it served as a sniper post and later fell into disrepair, but its distinctive shape remained intact.
