Un po' di storia

Huangpu Park was first opened in 1868 as a British concession garden, originally restricted to foreigners. It became a symbol of colonial exclusion, famously associated with the 'No dogs or Chinese allowed' sign. After 1949, it was reopened to all and has since been a public park. The park was renovated in the 1990s and now includes a memorial to the People's Heroes.
