קצת היסטוריה
The temple was founded by monk Huigen, who brought two jade Buddha statues from Burma to Shanghai. A new temple was built on land donated by Sheng Xuanhuai, a senior Qing official, and construction lasted from 1918 to 1928. During the Cultural Revolution in 1966, monks affixed posters of Mao Zedong on the exterior to prevent destruction.
