The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is Moscow's largest Orthodox church and a prominent landmark on the Moskva River. Originally built in the 19th century to commemorate Russia's victory over Napoleon, it was demolished in the Soviet era and rebuilt in the 1990s. The cathedral's soaring white walls and golden domes dominate the skyline, while inside, visitors can see ornate frescoes, marble iconostases, and a museum detailing its history.
