Masjid-e-Tooba

Masjid-e-Tooba, also called Gol Masjid (“Round Mosque”), is a modern mosque in Karachi. Its central prayer hall sits beneath a broad white dome without internal pillars or columns, the building’s defining structural feature.

Un peu d'histoire

Construction of the mosque began in 1966 and was completed in 1969. It was designed by Pakistani architect Babar Hameed Chauhan, with structural engineer Zaheer Haider Naqvi.
