Le Grand Serail

Un peu d'histoire

Originally built as a military barracks during the Ottoman era, the building later served as the seat of the French Mandate administration. After Lebanon's independence, it became the official residence and office of the Prime Minister. It was heavily damaged during the Lebanese Civil War but was restored in the 1990s.
