Deeksha Bhoomi

Deeksha Bhoomi is a revered park and memorial in Nagpur, Maharashtra, marking the spot where Dr. B.R. Ambedkar converted to Buddhism along with thousands of followers on October 14, 1956. The site is a major pilgrimage destination for Buddhists and followers of Ambedkar. The centerpiece is a large white stupa with a statue of Ambedkar, surrounded by manicured lawns, fountains, and meditation spaces.
