The Giza Plateau is a vast limestone plateau on the western outskirts of Cairo, serving as the setting for one of the world's most famous archaeological sites. It encompasses the Giza pyramid complex, the Great Sphinx, several cemeteries, and workers' villages. The plateau offers a unique desert landscape with panoramic views of the pyramids against the modern Cairo skyline.
