Un peu d'histoire

The building that houses the museum was originally constructed as the Kaohsiung City Hall in 1939 during Japanese rule. After World War II, it continued to serve as city hall until 1992. In 1998, it was converted into a museum dedicated to Kaohsiung's history, preserving its architectural heritage while adapting to a new purpose.
