Dafo Temple

• The temple opens daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Arrive before 4:30 PM to allow enough time.
• Dress modestly: cover shoulders and knees. Remove shoes before entering the main hall.
• Photography is allowed in most areas, but avoid using flash inside the main hall.
• You can light incense or make a donation at the temple. Incense sticks are available for purchase at the entrance.

Un peu d'histoire

Originally built during the Southern Han Dynasty (917–971 AD), Dafo Temple was reconstructed in the Ming Dynasty after a fire. The giant Buddha statue was cast in 1663 during the Qing Dynasty, using copper from a local mine.
