Little Canada (attraction)

Little Canada is a tourist attraction in downtown Toronto that displays HO scale (1:87) replicas of natural and man-made landmarks from across Canada. The exhibits include detailed miniature versions of the Golden Horseshoe, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Quebec City, Toronto, the Maritimes, the West Coast, and the North. Each destination runs through a 10-minute day cycle from sunrise to sunset.

• A 50-foot (15 m) flowing replica of Horseshoe Falls in the Little Niagara destination
• The Rogers Centre replica with a functional retractable roof and a scoreboard showing highlights from the previous day's Blue Jays game
• The Little Ottawa exhibit includes the Canadian Parliament Buildings set during Canada Day and the Château Laurier with a missing back wall to show furnished rooms
• The Little West Coast destination features rolling fog at Rogers Pass and includes Stanley Park, Gastown, and Granville Market
• The Little East Coast exhibit has a 400-litre (110 US gal) basin simulating the Bay of Fundy's tides
• The Littlization Station where visitors can get 3D-printed miniature replicas of themselves placed in the exhibit

• The entrance is located next to Dollarama and across from an entrance to TMU station on the Toronto subway.
• Each destination undergoes a repeating 10-minute day cycle from sunrise to sunset.
• Look for Easter eggs, such as a red panda from the film Turning Red in the Chinatown section of the Toronto exhibit.

Un peu d'histoire

The concept was created in 2011 by Dutchman Jean-Louis Brenninkmeijer after visiting Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg. Over 100 model enthusiasts worked about 100,000 hours from 2014 to 2019 to build the components. The attraction opened on 5 August 2021.
