Un poco de historia
The road's history dates to 1845, when it was called Park Lane. It was extended several times and formally named Nanking Road in 1862. In 1943, after the International Settlement was annulled, the road was renamed East Nanjing Road, and the former Bubbling Well Road became West Nanjing Road. In 2000, a section was renovated into a pedestrian street. In 2019–2020, the pedestrian mall was extended eastward to the Bund.
