Perched on Wushan Mountain in the Shangcheng District, the Chenghuang Pagoda is a striking multi-tiered structure that has become a symbol of Hangzhou. Originally built during the Song Dynasty, the current pagoda was reconstructed in the 1990s, blending traditional architecture with modern engineering. Visitors ascend through winding paths and stairs, passing ancient trees and stone carvings, before reaching the pagoda's base. Inside, each floor houses exhibits on local history and culture, including calligraphy and paintings.
