Cerro del Obispado

Cerro del Obispado, also known as Bishop's Hill, is a prominent hill in central Monterrey that rises above the city. At its summit stands the Museo del Obispado, a former bishop's palace built in the late 18th century. Ein Stück Geschichte

The hill takes its name from the Bishop's Palace (Palacio del Obispado), constructed between 1787 and 1788 as a residence for the bishop of Linares. It later served as a military fort during the Mexican-American War and the French intervention. Today, the palace houses the Museo de Historia Regional.
