Amdavad ni Gufa is an underground art gallery in Ahmedabad, known for its organic, cave-like architecture. Designed by the renowned architect Balkrishna Doshi, the structure resembles a series of interconnected domes covered in mosaic tiles. Inside, the walls curve organically, creating a surreal, womb-like space that houses rotating exhibitions of contemporary Indian art, particularly works by M.F. Husain. The interplay of natural light filtering through the domes enhances the experience. Visitors can explore the gallery at their own pace, often finding the architecture as compelling as the art itself.
