Teatro Castro Alves (TCA) is Salvador's premier cultural venue, located in the Campo Grande neighborhood. Ein Stück Geschichte
Inaugurated in 1958, the theater was designed by architects José de Souza Reis and Oscar Niemeyer's team. It replaced an earlier theater destroyed by fire. The name honors Antônio de Castro Alves, a 19th-century abolitionist poet from Bahia.
