Ulugh Beg Madrasa is one of the three monumental structures surrounding the Registan, Samarkand's historic square. Built in the 15th century under Ulugh Beg, it served as a center for learning, with a focus on astronomy and mathematics. The façade is adorned with intricate tilework featuring geometric patterns and star motifs, reflecting the ruler's scientific passions. Visitors can walk through the arched entrance into a courtyard lined with former student cells, and admire the minarets and the grand iwan.
