The Afrasiab Museum of Samarkand is dedicated to the history and culture of the ancient city, housing a rich collection of artifacts unearthed from the Afrasiyab site. Its centerpiece is the renowned 7th-century Afrasiab murals, vivid frescoes from the palace of the Sogdian king Varkhuman.
