Fantastic food and unique bar sitting experience. Everything we ordered was perfect. The patatas bravas and tortillas are definitely stars of the show. The chicken thigh was also crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, cooked to perfection. Service varied a bit from different staff but overall was good. Would recommend to dine here if you’re in Soho!
I came here alone last week on wed night which is not too busy. I got a table right after I stepped in. I ordered a gamba roja and turbot fish. The turbot was amazingly good but sadly a bit smaller than I expected(after all it’s tapas). When I finished my main, the waiter suggested me to have the basque cheese cake. The extra layer of shredded cheese on top added was the highlighted part. I have to say it’s even better than the main. Overall the dining experience is good.
I am a Spanish woman who just found the best Spanish omelette in London. I’ve been to too many restaurants in the city and specially Spanish restaurants, some of them very well known or with Michelin star but non of them can compare themselves with the quality of the food Barrafina has. The pluma ibérica was Unbelievable and so were the patatas bravas. As dessert I had a crema catalana which is my favorite dessert on earth. But if there is something that I must highlight is the attentive, helpful and friendly staff. Carmen, who is also Spanish, specifically from Galicia, a land well known for being the center of the Spanish cuisine, helped us guiding us with all her deep knowledge and passion and in every single thing she said she was right. Carmen, thank you for advising me with the best omelette in town and not lying about it ♥️
I’ve been to Barrafina before. Now we were seated right in front of the hard working master chef. Every plate went through his hands. He controlled every plate that was sent out to all customers that it was at his perfection. The master chef took time to talk to us even though he had his hands full and that with a smile. He treated his staff with respect and coached them to be better. I think that one of the reasons for the outcome of this evening was the master chef. The food was very good, the atmosfare in the restaurant was good. Thank you for serving us this evening
